手錶的通話與行動網路功能 透過Gear S 通話的方式有兩種，一種是跟手機保持連線，電話進來時可以直接在 Gear S上接聽，也可以遙控手機撥號。另一種則是直接把 SIM 卡安裝到 Gear S 中，與支援 Gear S App 的三星手機配對後即可獨立通話，外出運動的時候就算把手機放在家裡直接戴著出門也不用擔心錯過親朋好友、老闆同事的來電。 Gear S 使用 Nano SIM 就會透過藍牙跟手機連線，上面提到的所有需要網路的功能都可以直接同步，包括通話、收發簡訊，所以基本上 Gear S 要獨立使用也可以，要一起使用也可以，就看怎麼搭配對你最方便了。 #### Gear S 的運動紀錄與GPS 軌跡紀錄 紀錄運動狀況除了過去在 Gear Fit 手錶上擁有的心率偵測和計步器功能外，Gear S 還加入了 GPS/Glonass 衛星定位晶片與氣壓感應器，配合 Samsung 自家的 S Health 與 Nike 的 Nike+ Running 紀錄運動狀況。兩者的差異在於 S Health 可配合 Samsung 產品裝置上的功能去紀錄各種運動狀況，包括距離、路徑、時間、心率、配速；Nike+ Running 則是專注於運動紀錄，包括距離、路徑、配速等，可跨平台與 Facebook
